Did you know that although many students are students visual and auditory many other students, most students actually prefer a combination of visual learning, auditory and kinesthetic.
So what is kinesthetic learning?
Simple ... kinesthetic learners, students usually realize that the facts, both as a stimulus to walk, you learn by doing, and how often to change their location.
Here are three suggestions for teaching the kinesthetic learning:
1. You can activitiesMovement. I often have my class set up "stations". Students move from station to station to complete a task. organized, for example, when studying the "colonial life," I have banks in eight different stations and each station represents a different aspect of colonial life (photos and written information made available to each station). Students have five minutes could be completed in one position at a station before moving on to another station.
2. use of simulations or"Law-it-out". Give students the opportunity to create the group meetings, and perform a short, simple parody. In examining the "Roaring Twenties", I divided the class into several groups, with each group received eight "slang" terms since 1920. Students must create 5-10 minutes, then a design with the use of these slang terms. After the students guide their skits we can discuss what we learn about the 1920 on the basis of their performance.
3. Posts games. Many games offer reviewthe ability to move. For example, I created a large concentration / memory card to plan lessons with vocabulary terms from the current drive. Students must get up and move to the center of the room, to participate physically in the game.
Remember that while students have different learning styles ... effective teachers combine various teaching methods for different learning needs of their students ... to meet, including kinesthetic learning activities.
