Children's Playground, a time when Made Dreams

My childhood was very different from children's childhood are now. In summer I would go play with your friends. We jumped rope, played basketball and stay focused, and hiked in the nearby woods. After dinner we played Kick the Can. When it was dark, caught fireflies in a glass. I was blessed to have a childhood easy.

But children do not have much time to play today and many are not always open on time. Tufts University professor David Elkind, author of "The Power ofI want to play says, "a growing number of schools have eliminated recess or are considering. Apparently these schools more time for school learning.
But the game is to learn.

Elkind thinks children of all ages benefit from the game. It does this in his article "The values of Outdoor Play", published in 'Exchange, the early leaders' magazine. "If the children were born, know nothing of their world." And' through playful contact with that world that they create learningExperiences that allow them to own this world, "he writes.

What children learn from the outside? They learn about the weather, the seasons, sand, building with blocks, sculpture, colors, smells, textures, and more. "Kindergarten is not a luxury," says Elkind. "It is fundamental to the ability of children to know the world, others and himself."

Before I was a writer, I taught for a dozen years and agree 100 percent with Elkind. I understand the benefits ofcan play, structured or unstructured. Every day I took kindergarten or kindergarten students in the open "free play". After the break, the game could begin to develop hand-eye coordination. Sometimes I have programmed a game, but the game was structured in order.

Playing the National Association for the Education of Young Children published in his article "The value of school recess and outdoor play." According to the article, reduces the power play, helps children work through emotionsdevelops the capacity for cooperation and increases the sense of smell, touch, taste and movement.

I liked being on the playground with the children. Or were constantly on the move or sitting still as statues, deep in thought. If a child was sitting still I never interrupted his thoughts. Now that I know I am a grandmother of one, times of quiet introspective time and dreams of children, starting from there. Frankly, I'm too young of a line.

Many parents are so worriedof boredom, she's a regular play date. After Margery D. Rosen, author of the article, "The joys of doing nothing," the children of today have only half have done so much free time as a child 30 years ago. Soon, the parents are at greater speed races and captured, "the elusive goal of raising a child in the round," says Rosen.

What are the solutions? Parents, teachers and grandparents can play a part of a day child free. We can supply some of their activities and play together. Insteadbored overreaction to children's needs, we can give them art materials, books and games. One of the best things we can do for children is to encourage the game.
